Holly has been instructing, coaching, directing and encouraging actors for over 20 years. As a Casting Director for the past 18 years she has seen what works and what doesn't in an audition setting from witnessing and directing thousands of auditions. As a professional actor with an MFA in Theatre, she is highly trained and skilled in how to interpret a script, develop a character, connect to an audience, and engage believably with a scene partner. She is then able to translate this knowledge to her students in workshops and private lessons for both beginning and advanced actors.

She has been teaching workshops for The Actor's School in Franklin, TN for the past 14 years. The workshops she offers are: Auditioning for the Camera, Scene Study, Freeing the Actor, Bootcamp for Actors, and Taking Direction. She also teaches classes and workshops at Vagabond School of the Arts in Chicago in addition to private coaching through her own studio Evanston Acting Studio. Holly is very passionate about teaching and in all her workshops and lessons she strives to create a safe, fun, inspiring, and supportive environment for students to explore the craft of acting.

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION

Holly offers private coaching for adults and teens for $60 an hour. Private instruction is invaluable one-on-one time for the beginning, intermediate, or advanced actor who wants an hour of undivided attention. She'll work with you on whatever it is you want help with, whether it be, preparing for an audition, working on a monologue, defining your goals, brushing up your on-camera skills, or on-going acting training. Holly believes that group work is essential for your growth as an actor, but private instruction is also very beneficial because of the focused attention you receive.
